Here are our announcements for this week:
Our Youth Group meets on Sunday nights from 4:30pm-6:30pm with a hang out time where you can play video games, board games, or pool, a message and small groups, and a fun game together.
Each month, we go to two of our nursing homes in our community to share the love of Jesus with the residents. We sing some hymns, share a message, and meet with those who join us. Come and join us as we bring Jesus to those who cannot come to a Sunday gathering.
The men’s Bibile Study meets on Wednesdays @ 7pm and will be going through Francis Chan’s study through the book of James. Check out this video below and we hope you can come and join us!
Our next Parents’ Night Out is coming up soon! Are you in need of a date night? Do you need a few hours to get something done and it would be easier without the kids? If that’s the case, we may be able to help. Four times throughout the schoo year we offer a free Parents’ Night Out where you are welcome to come, drop your kids, Pre-K through 6th grade, off in a safe environment where they will play games, sing songs, eat snacks, make a craft, and watch a movie. The Bakers’ last Sunday at 6th & Gibbs will be on Sunday, January 26th and we will be having a potluck for them to say goodbye. Please bring your favorite dish to share as we share a meal together after the service in the sanctuary.
The ladies of our church get together each month for a meal and devotion time at Stacy’s Covered Bridge here in town. We hope all women, whether you call our church home or not, will come and join us for this time of fellowship together.
Our men get together monthly to share in a breakfast and devotion together. Come on out and join us on the 2nd Saturday of the month. All guys are welcome!
We have a prayer meeting that meets each Sunday morning before our service to pray for the church and our community. We believe that prayer is the most powerful thing we can do for one another, so come out and join us this Sunday at 9am.
If you are available to help us get the church ready for our Sunday morning gatherings, let us know! There is a sign up sheet in the lobby, or you can give us a call (541-942-3822) so that we can put you down on the list.
A mission we support here at 6th & Gibbs is Grove Christian Camp. They have a mission that is dedicated to bringing people to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, while at the same time teaching and equipping Christians to a more mature relationship of service and commitment to Christ.
During the year, they have some great opportunities to help all of us grow in our faith. Here are the ones that are coming up fast. We have sign up sheets on our info table, but you can also sign up directly at the Grove Camp website by clicking here!
