Here are our announcements for this week:
Our Youth Group meets on Sunday nights from 4:30pm-6:30pm with a hang out time where you can play video games, board games, or pool, a message and small groups, and a fun game together.
The women have started their Fall Bible study through the book of Galatians. This group meets every Wednesday night at 6:30pm between now and October 23rd.
Each month, we go to two of our nursing homes in our community to share the love of Jesus with the residents. We sing some hymns, share a message, and meet with those who join us. Come and join us as we bring Jesus to those who cannot come to a Sunday gathering.
Missionaries from Kerala Christ Church Mission in India, through whom we support the church in Velarkulam, are going to be in the area and wants to share an update about their ministry. So we will be having them come on Tuesday, October 15th at 6pm. Come and hear an update and be encouraged by how God’s Word is being spread throughout this mostly Hindu nation, sometimes in the face of persecution. (Our small groups will not be meeting this night so that members of those groups can participate.)
Our Youth Group is having their annual Halloween Party where they invite various youth groups from around the area to join them for a fun night of food, games, and pumpkin carving. Dress up to win one of our prizes for best dressed, or come as you are. We hope to see all teens Friday, October 18th from 6-10pm.
We are about to have our 5th Annual Trunk or Treat here in our church parking lot on Saturday, October 26th from 4-6pm. And we need your help to make it happen. First, we need candy. If you can donate some, it would be a huge blessing. Second, we need help the day of the event. Check out the sign up sheet in the lobby if you can decorate a trunk or help us by running a game.
The ladies of our church get together each month for a meal and devotion time at Stacy’s Covered Bridge here in town. We hope all women, whether you call our church home or not, will come and join us for this time of fellowship together.
The men will be kicking off their next Bible Study on Wednesday, October 30th at 7pm. They will be going through Francis Chan’s study through the book of James. Check out this video below and we hope you can come and join us!
Our men get together monthly to share in a breakfast and devotion together. Come on out and join us on the 2nd Saturday of the month. All guys are welcome!
We have a prayer meeting that meets each Sunday morning before our service to pray for the church and our community. We believe that prayer is the most powerful thing we can do for one another, so come out and join us this Sunday at 9am.

A mission we support here at 6th & Gibbs is Grove Christian Camp. They have a mission that is dedicated to bringing people to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ, while at the same time teaching and equipping Christians to a more mature relationship of service and commitment to Christ.
During the year, they have some great opportunities to help all of us grow in our faith. Here are the ones that are coming up fast. We have sign up sheets on our info table, but you can also sign up directly at the Grove Camp website by clicking here!
